Outdoor Beauty

Every so often, I travel down with my partner to visit the in-laws…

Some may see this as a dreaded activity, but I do enjoy it…

It is usually filled with enjoying each others company…

Often we play cards and prepare delicious meals together…

I have even learnt from my in-laws experience of making marmalade, which I think I’ve pretty much mastered…

Eventually as the weather gets colder, these visits will also include log fires, which are wonderful…

However, while the weather is still making up its mind, we will regularly go for walks around the beautiful countryside…

Such beautiful scenery and plants to see and it also keeps us all fit…

and because we stay over there (it’s not on our doorstep) I need to prepare my outdoor beauty essentials…

Of course I am talking about my nail care, which you know by now, my nails will be fine, because I am wearing gels..

That does not mean that i can just ignore my hands…

Particularly when the weather is getting colder, it is essential to moisturise…

Otherwise, this can lead to cracked hands and dry cuticles…

These cracked hands can lead to sore and split skin and also hangnails…

So my outdoor beauty essentials would include a gel nail friendly hand cream….

And if your cuticles are in desperate need, a gel nail friendly cuticle oil…

I say gel friendly, because if you weren’t aware, some products can actually cause the gel to lift…

This is down to potential chemicals and oils in them that are not compatible…

So if your nails lift, it may actually not be anything you did during application, but actually during maintenance…

Tips like this and more will all be available in the Gel Nails at Home course…
